Steve is the founder and leader of the CAPTRUST Akron office which serves 401(k) plans and pensions for over 100 institutions in NE Ohio, totally over $13 billion in assets, and over 200,000 plan participants. Mr. Wilt has over 33 years servicing 401(k) plans. His firms acts as a fiduciary to the company and he has a passion for helping hard working Americans to achieve retirement success. His other passions include serving nonprofits in NE Ohio, fundraising, advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and providing addiction education.  

Mr. Wilt serves on the board for United Way, The Greater Akron Chamber, The GAR Foundation, The University of Akron College of Business, to name a few and is a Class 26 graduate of Leadership Akron.

An Akron native, Mr. Wilt is a graduate of The University of Akron, a proud Akron Zip, and the recipient of the 2007 Inaugural Plan Sponsor Retirement Plan Team of the Year, The 2012 Simonetti Distinguished Alumni Award, and in 2023 The Love Akron Change Marker Award.
