Dr. Teri Lash-Ritter joined Cleveland Clinic in 2011, practicing Urgent Care medicine, and served as Medical Director of Urgent and Express Care Clinics from 2013–2016. In that role, she developed a high-quality network for acute care access through the expansion of Express Care services. In 2016, Dr. Lash-Ritter joined the Office of Patient Experience, serving as Associate Chief Experience Officer for Akron General Health System and later for all Regional Hospitals. She was named Chief Medical Officer at Akron General in May 2019. In February 2025, Dr. Lash-Ritter became President of Cleveland Clinic Akron General and Lodi Hospitals and President of the South Submarket for Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.Dr. Lash-Ritter is Clinical Faculty at the Center for Family Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Akron General and serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, Ohio University College of Medicine, and Northeast Ohio Medical University.She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics in 1992 and, after working as a clinical dietitian, completed her Doctor of Medicine degree at Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2002. Following her Family Medicine residency, she served as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Dr. Lash-Ritter earned her Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University in 2017.Dr. Lash-Ritter is actively engaged in community service, serving as Vice Chair of the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank and as a board member for United Way of Summit and Medina County, the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce, and other local organizations. She is also passionate about global health and leads annual medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic.
