With a background in security analysis and data management, Ben Tegel launched his financial advisory practice in 2005 before co-founding Auxin Group Wealth Management in 2015. Prior to starting his own practice, Ben worked for Morningstar, Inc., a leading provider of independent financial research and analysis, as well as Merrill Lynch and UBS.  Ben is also a partner at Upstream Therapeutics, a genetic analysis company that develops customized care plans based on targeted areas of a person’s physical and mental health, “working upstream” from the source of concerns to inhibit the downstream flow of symptoms or challenges that may impact their life-long wellness journey. Ben earned an economics degree from the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL, where he played football. He is a 2009 recipient of the Greater Akron Chamber’s “30 for the Future” award, which honors young professionals whose stellar contributions impact their industries and the Greater Akron Region.  Ben is a lifetime trustee of the Akron Children’s Museum, board member for Akron Cooperative Farms, Torchbearers alum, and founder of the Outdoor Classroom in Akron and Morningstar Market Prep in Chicago.  A resident of Bath, Ben lives with his wife Tessa, two sons and dog Hershey. He enjoys playing basketball, football and chess.
